The Diplomatic Post
Submission Guidelines
What we're looking for...
We are looking for submissions to The Diplomatic Post broadly related to international relations and affairs. The journal will be available for students and faculty to view online, and provides a great opportunity to practice writing skills and discuss issues that matter.
It could be discussing nation-state relations, or topics such as attitudes to forced marriage globally - get creative! We want to hear about the topics that you're interested in.
Submissions will be published regularly throughout the term, and compiled in a tri-yearly issue available to view on our website.
Submission Requirements
Articles must be between 600 - 3,000 words.
You are welcome to use past essays written for coursework, but please ensure they are adapted to suit a more editorial tone.
We would request that you use Chicago footnote referencing - more information can be found here.
Please submit your article to exediplomatichub@gmail.com
The Diplomatic Post, our student-led journal on international affairs, is published three times per year and includes articles written by students, staff and experts in the field.
Past volumes have featured articles from the British Ambassador to Norway and Professor Richard Toye, Head of History at the University of Exeter. Our most recent issue, the topic of which is sovereignty, included a contribution by Julian Caletti, a Training Associate at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
